Work For Us
We're on the look out for two Outdoor Game Hosts
What do we do?
Think an escape room but in the middle of a forest and you won’t be far wrong.
We deliver immersive family experiences; all based within a beautiful private woodland. From our challenge games to birthday parties through to corporate team building days. We believe in creating direct experiences – with the natural world and with each other and are passionate about delivering the absolute best customer service we possibly can. This is why we need engaging, hardworking, adventurous individuals who can deliver this standard of experience.
What are we looking for?
We’re looking to recruit two Outdoor Games Hosts to join our existing team. 50% outdoor instructor, 50% actor you’ll be sending families down the rabbit hole of a 60 minute immersive game.
You’ll be fun to be around and comfortable talking to a wide variety of groups, with experience of being responsible for a groups welfare. You’ll relish the idea of working in a beautiful place in all weathers. A confident communicator who is not afraid of the spotlight, with a strong ability to adapt your role dependent upon the needs of the group.
What will you be doing?
Second only to our challenge trails, you ARE the reason the customers are there. After blowing their minds with a beautifully delivered (by you) beautifully crafted (by us) story that gets them fully immersed in the beautiful experience to come, you’ll be in and out of their game – possibly to help, possibly just to cause a bit of trouble (cheeky!), you’ll be keeping an eye on the clock, dropping them clues, jokes or even a flutter of your most honed prestidigitations. But most of all, you are there to ensure the customers safety during their game time. At the end of play you could be helping your teams toast marshmallows over an open fire or engaging them with riddles or some of our mini base camp challenges.
Is there any scope for progression?
Over the course of the season you’ll be given acting guidance to deliver your role as effectively as possible. You’ll be trained in the delivery of each of our unique challenge games. Within the company we have senior leadership roles we are looking to fill later in the season and will be providing further training for the right candidates in the delivery of our wider events, including our off site games, birthday parties and corporate days.

Jack, (WPL – 2020) - Working at Puzzlewoods was easily the most fun I've had at any job. Despite never doing anything similar before-hand, everyone was very helpful and supportive with getting me comfortable in the role and it only took a week before I was happy to take groups solo. The team were all lovely and it was a pleasure to go into work. It was fun learning to manage differing groups of people and figure out how to handle different personalities from family groups with young kids to rowdy football teams and experienced puzzlers. Working in the woods was great. I loved the outdoors anyways and even rainy days were fun with the right outlook.
